HOW TO STAND OUT AS AN “EMPLOYER OF CHOICE” IN A CANDIDATE SHORT MARKET?

We all know with the changes in the early childhood industry over the past 5 years, the legislative requirements to have “X” number of qualified staff per “X” of children, low industry salaries, a HUGE increase in the number of new centres being opened, an increase in Generation “Y” expectations and a lack of professionalism in the industry (sorry, yes….I said it), it has all contributed to a candidate short market. So as an employer, what can you do different to attract the industries most highly sort after candidates?
